ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has written a letter to Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) urging appointment of Ravi Kumar as Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Minority Affairs as Baldev Kumar is under arrest, Dunya News reported Thursday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has recommended appointment of Ravi Kumar after late Sardar Soran Singh.

Baldev Kumar, a councilor from Swat was taken in custody in case regarding murder of Soran Singh in April. Baldev Kumar had allegedly paid assassins to kill his rival potential candidate for party’s ticket. Police had claimed that Kumar confessed to murder after he was detained.

Six suspects were taken in custody after the attack.

Earlier today, two of the six suspects pleaded guilty to murder during a court hearing while others denied the accusation.
