Summary Most of the corruption cases are being investigated in Lahore, NAB revealed in its report.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted a report pertaining to probe into corruption cases in the Supreme Court of Pakistan today (Wednesday), Dunya News reported.
According to report, 639 inquiries and 336 corruption cases are being investigated. Names of 401 accused in these corruption cases have been included in the Exit Control List (ECL).
Most of the corruption cases are being investigated in Lahore where 221 cases and inquiries are pending. 215 cases are being investigated in Karachi, Rawalpindi 179, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 168 and 120 cases are pending in Balochistan.
Names of around 140 accused have been put on ECL from Rawalpindi, Lahore 106, Karachi 91, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 43 and 18 suspects have been mentioned in the ECL from Balochistan.
It may be mentioned here that the Supreme Court had sought the details in connection with a corruption case.
