Offshore assets case: LHC adjourns hearing till April 26

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (HC) on Monday has adjourned the hearing of a case regarding foreign assets against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan and 64 other ministers.

According to details, Justice Khalid Mahmood Khan heard the case during which claimant’s lawyer Barrister Iqbal Jaffry told the court that 64 prominent leaders including Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan and Asif Ali Zardari have offshore accounts.

He urged the court to direct action against these ministers and ordered them to disclose their assets.

The lawyer also stated that plaintiff has not submitted fee over which, the court asked the petitioner to submit fee for the issuance of notice.

Meanwhile, Aitzaz Ahsan registered a plea seeking to remove his name from the petition, saying that all the information regarding assets has already been present in the records of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and election commission.

Subsequently, the court has adjourned the hearing till April 26.
