Summary Chotu gang's relatives not willing to cooperate with police, acting as informers: sources

RAJANPUR (Dunya News) – Policemen that took part in the operation against the Chotu gang in Kacha Jamal area reveal that insufficient resources and equipments available to the police were a major factor in the operation becoming a failure, reported Dunya News.

Sources have indicated that the police officers lacked ammunition as one officer was provided with a hundred and fifty rounds only. An officer revealed that the policemen were forced to fight against the Chotu gang for three days on an empty stomach.

Policeman Qazi Ubaid ullah hesitated to fight in Kacha Jamal on an empty stomach but he was threatened to be fired by the authorities on the account of which, he was forced to participate in the offence. Ubaid ullah received martyrdom while fighting against the Chotu gang.

Sources have also stated that the relatives of Chotu gang are also not willing to cooperate with the police and are acting as informers.
