ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has apparently added to Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif’s inconvenience over Panama leaks by declaring him owner of Mayfair apartments in London, Dunya News reported Tuesday.

Nisar had lambasted Leader of the Opposition in National Assembly (NA) Khursheed Shah and Leader of the Opposition in Senate Aitzaz Ahsan during a press conference in the federal capital on Monday.

Nisar criticised Ahsan and stated that the opposition needs to address its own confusion prior to dealing with the Panama leaks investigation. He added that “if only the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate would introspect before accusing others”.

While pointing out wrongdoings of the former government, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Nisar asked why the opposition’s leadership denied ownership of Surrey Palace for the longest time but accepted it before London court.

He called for accountability of all the parliamentarians irrespective of sides, government or the opposition.

The federal minister, while addressing the media said  that Nawaz Sharif never hid ownership of flats in Britain. He went on to say that numerous party meetings were held at the apartments. Even slain former prime minister, Benazir Bhutto had visited those flats, he added.

Earlier today, Khursheed Shah got back at Nisar and offered himself for accountability.
