LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least two women died while one man sustained wounds as speeding truck collided with a motorcycle in Lahore today (Friday).
According to details, a truck coming from opposite side rammed into a bike in Johar Town, killing two women and injuring one man.
The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old Maria and 23-year-old Saira whereas Qasim was wounded in the incident.
Truck driver fled the scene after the mishap while police personnel shifted the bodies to hospital for post mortem.
Deadly accidents are common on roads across Pakistan due to bad road infrastructure and rampant disregard of traffic laws.
Over 9,000 road accidents are reported to the police every year, killing on average around 5,000 people, according to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
