Summary Pakistani diplomats might get permission to watch Pak-India match, hopes spokesperson FM
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria strictly denied the American news reports regarding Chinese military presence in Azad Kashmir on Thursday and said that Pakistan vows to eradicate terrorism from the region, which will require Afghan government’s support and collaboration.
Nafees Zakaria spoke to weekly press briefing and said that there is no latest report regarding permission to Pakistani diplomats to watch Pak-India match and that his department has discussed the matter with India. He also said that Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz will invite Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi at SAARC Conference during a meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj however he can predict nothing about PM Nawaz Sharif-Modi meeting at Nuclear Summit.
The spokesperson strictly denied the presence of Chinese military in Azad Kashmir and said that he would not like to comment on American media reports. He also said that Kashmir issue should be resolved as per resolutions in UN, as the global community also recognises the issue.
Zakaria said that Afghanistan is in a state of war for 3 decades, there are mechanisms of collaboration and dialogue with Afghanistan, with the help of which dialogues have been continued including the issue of Taliban sanctuaries.
