Punjab Assembly's women demand funds, decide to contact Punjab CM

Summary Funds were approved for the male members while none was designated for any women member of Assembly.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Even after the passing of the Women Protection Bill, it seems Punjab Assembly’s own females were left behind as after an approval of funds worth Rs. 250 million for male members of Punjab Assembly, female members elected on allocated seats have also raised their voice demanding funds. The female members have decided to contact Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif against this discrimination.

According to the details, developmental funds worth Rs. 250 million were approved for the male members of the Assembly while no such funds was designated for any women member of the Assembly.

Punjab Assembly has 24 female members belonging to Lahore.
