Summary World Bank will provide 840 million dollars adding 1410 MW to the system.
KARACHI (Dunya News) –Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) on Friday stated that World Bank will provide 840 million dollars for the Tarbela Dam expansion project, while completion of the project will increase the capacity from 3480 MW to 4888 MW, reported Dunya News.
Experts believe that this project will not only help overcome energy shortages but will also be environment friendly alternate source to produce energy.
Experts also stated that cheap production of electricity will also reduce burden on the people.
