KARACHI (Web Desk) - Former mayor of Karachi Mustafa along with senior leader and former Coordination Committee deputy convener Anees Qaimkhani will hold a press conference at 3pm in Karachi today (Thursday).
The former Karachi nazim, who got elected to the upper house of parliament in 2011, left Pakistan in mid-August in 2013 but came back after three years and launched a new political party to challenge the iron grip of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on the city.
Earlier, holding press conference in Karachi, Mustafa Kamal leveled blistering criticism at Altaf Hussain s strongarm tactics.
"Today we are launching a new political party," a weeping Kamal said at a news conference. "Children have been slain and generations have been destroyed by Altaf Hussain. This is my challenge."
“Altaf Hussain doesn’t care about anyone but himself”, he said.
“When Scotland Yard raided houses of Raabta Committee members, everything became clear”.

The former mayor asked why can’t MQM chief come clean to party’s followers just like he did to the Scotland Yard.
He further said that Altaf Hussain poses as this innocent person who is painted as bad by establishment, adding that the innocent followers actually believed their community is being subjected to crimes sponsored by state just on their chief’s urging.
"I had been a senator for a few months when I left my position, usually those who leave the MQM are kicked out but we left of our own accord," he said.
Recalling some glimpses from the past, he said: "When the 2013 elections arrived, the Urdu-speaking citizens of Karachi casted more than 850,000 votes in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf‘s favour. But the MQM, due to its organisational structure, was the only party to bounce back while remaining in government for five years."
He said Altaf gathered his workers and was intoxicated, when he addressed his supporters at Nine Zero after the 2013 election results.
On the other hand, Former Sindh Health Minister Dr Sagheer Ahmed also joined Mustafa Kamal and stated that he wishes to serve the country whilst defeating all of its adversaries, further adding that the prosperity of Pakistan is linked with the prosperity of Karachi as the city serves as the jugular vein of the country.
He said that he was witnessing insanity and tyranny across the country and that his conscience did not allow him to remain quiet for long, thus he decided to embark on the journey with Kamal.
