Summary Official has directed to ensure proper drainage of water in low-lying areas.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Thursday has forecasted widespread rain-thundershower accompanied by strong gusty winds in parts of country.
According to details, Balochistan will observe isolated heavy rain in Quetta, Zhob, Kalat, Sibbi and Naseerabad divisions, while scattered rain-thundershower in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan, Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sukkur, Larkana divisions and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) has also been predicted.
Isolated rain-thundershower is also expected in Rawalpindi, Sargodha, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Mardan divisions and various cities of Punjab.
On the other hand, sirens sounded by Karachi Metropolitan Corporation due to possible rains that will start from today and will last for three days.
PMD has predicted light to moderate rains in Karachi due to which, the authorities have declared emergency in the metropolis.
Administrator Roshan Ali Sheikh has directed all the representatives to remain on duty during the rainy days while the locals have also been advised to record complaints on 1339 in case of any issue.
The official has further commanded to ensure proper drainage of water in low-lying areas.
The fishermen of Balochistan carrying small boats are advised to remain careful during next two days.
