Sindh govt. creating hurdles in cleanliness campaign: Waseem Akhtar

Summary Drive will be held in every town of each district and 2 UCs of each town from 9 am-5 pm everyday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi’s elected Mayor and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Waseem Akhtar late Wednesday night announced initiating a mega campaign for cleaning up the Provincial Capital. He stated that the Sindh government was creating hurdles in the city’s cleaniliness drive.

Speaking at a press conference in MQM Headquarter Nine Zero, Akhtar stated that nobody was unaware of Karachi’s sanitary conditions. He stated that MQM wants to lend a helping hand to the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) and District Municipal Corporation (DMC) in this regard.

Akhtar stated that the Sindh government does not want that citizens should breathe a sigh of relief.

Karachi’s Mayor stated that they will not back off from their mission despite the hurdles.

He further added that during the campaign, the drive will be held in every town of each district and 2 union councils of each town from 9 am in the morning to 5 pm in the evening everyday.
