Summary Advisor to former CM KP Masoom Shah tried to attempts suicide
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Advisor to former Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Masoom Shah tried to shoot himself on Thursday, as he was being transferred to the accountability court for corruption charges, reported Dunya News.
The accused was being transferred to the accountability court from Central Jail Peshawar when he snatched a pistol from security personnel and tried to shoot himself in the head.
Shah failed to do so as the pistol magazine was already submitted at the entrance of the jail. Police personnel then reported to the higher officials that the accused cannot be taken to the court.
He earlier agreed on a plea bargain with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) of 25.87 million but was rejected by the court. He was arrested on August 25 2015 over corruption charges.
