Summary Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif says cities will be made safer with the help of Safe Cities project
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif has on Saturday said that the Punjab Safe Cities project will be extended to more cities. He added that other cities will also be made safer with the help of Safe Cities project, reported Dunya News.
A meeting of the provincial cabinet committee for peace and security, presided over by Punjab CM, examined the overall security situation and discussed the improvements in police system in detail. The decision was also made to extend the Safe Cities project to more cities.
Shahbaz Sharif told that the first phase of Safe City project in Lahore will be completed in October and its extension to Multan, Faisalabad, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala has been approved. The land for the project has already been picked for all the four cities.
Citizens will be provided foolproof security through the Safe Cities project. Shahbaz said that Safe Cities project will prove to be of great help in order to stop crime in the city.
