Summary For public interest issues, Shehbaz Sharif approves 100 bills, 123 resolutions from Punjab Assembly

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab government has approved hundred bills and one twenty three resolutions with regard to Public Interest on Friday. Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif approved the bills and the resolutions, reported Dunya News.

Punjab Assembly’s session that started on 29th January, was postponed for indefinite period of time. The government was able to get 20 bills approved from this session and thus completed its century of legislations in the current session.

Approved bills Include Women Protection Bill, increase in salaries of provincial assembly members, changes in the procedure of the appointment of local body heads and many other ordinances were turned into laws.

Sixteen resolutions with respect to public interest were also passed.

After completion of 29 days of session, Punjab government almost accomplished parliamentary merit of hundred days out of which 83 days have already been completed.

Punjab Assembly, during the recent session, has decided to make amendments regarding assembly rules. As a result, the provincial government will be bound to present an annual parliamentary schedule of sessions to the members.
