Summary Confiscation of passports was ordered by Sindh High Court on the request of NAB’s Deputy Prosecutor.

KARACHI (Dunya news) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday has started a crackdown against pharmaceutical companies which inflated the prices of medicines. The Bureau confiscated the passports of owners of 7 different pharma companies involved in the rising prices of drugs.

NAB officials have stated that pharmaceutical companies have snatched around Rs. 1.80 billion from the pockets of citizens due to the escalating drug prices.

The action for confiscation of passports of the company owners was ordered by Sindh High Court on the request of NAB’s Deputy Prosecutor.
