Summary PM Nawaz Sharif has satisfied reservations on CPEC, says JUI-F chief.

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal’s (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman on Thursday stated that the civil and military leadership of the country was on the same page against terrorism. Speaking on the Women’s Protection Bill, the JUI-F chief provided his interesting feedback on the development, stating that an amendment for calling wife as the husband and husband as the wife should be made in the Bill.

Talking to the media in Quetta on the merger of JUI-F and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Nazriati (JUI-N), Fazal stated that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif had satisfied their reservations on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and all political parties of the country were now united on the topic.

He stated that Operation Zarb-e-Azb had now entered its final phase and both the civil and military leadership had a united stance against terrorism.

Fazal further stated that JUI-F wants to see peace in the country; however the abolishment or restricting the Madarassas (religious schools) was not a positive step.

Meanwhile political analysts have stated that the integration of the two religious parties will further strengthen JUI’s position in the coming elections and it will emerge as a strong political party in the Province due to this merger.
