Summary Police conducted an operation against abductors on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Police have conducted a major operation against kidnappers on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway on Tuesday capturing four kidnappers and rescuing three people along with ransom money, reported Dunya News.
According to the Motorway Police, kidnappers who were on a car coming from Lahore abducted three persons at Kallar Kahar. On getting the information about the abductors, the police chased them down near Chakri. After an exchange of firing, all three kidnapped persons were freed along with ransom money. The amount captured was around twenty four million rupees which the kidnapped persons claimed to be theirs. Four suspected abductors were arrested near Chach village while two suspected kidnappers managed to flee.
In an unofficial conversation, Rawalpindi Police have confirmed the recovery of huge amount of money but Motorway police denied to talk with media. The motorway police have handed over 4 suspects, three abductees, car and two big bags of money to the Chontra officials. Police is investigating the claim of abductees that the money recovered is theirs.
