KARACHI (Dunya News) – World Bank President Jim Yong Kim on Tuesday stated that private sector should be promoted to improve employment opportunities in Pakistan. He stated that now was the time for Pakistan to increase its financial growth for which immediate reforms in the energy sector along with steps for improvements in health and education departments were necessary.
According to the details, the World Bank President, on a 2-day visit to the country, met with Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. During the meeting, Kim stated that the government had stabilized the country’s economy in the past extremely difficult 3 years.
According to World Bank President, provinces should also play their role for improvement in the economic situation of the country. He further added that the World Bank will collaborate with the government for the settlement of those who were unemployed.
Kim also stated that the world should learn from Pakistan on how to host foreign refugees.
