ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former Interior Minister Rahman Malik has claimed that Indian agencies were involved behind the Pathankot attack, reported Dunya News.

Malik said that India played the Pathankot drama to ruin Pakistan’s efforts for peace. Malik said that it was Indian people who were behind Pathankot attack in January. He accused Indian agency the Research and Analysis Wing’s (RAW) involvement behind the Mumbai attacks in November 2008 that killed 164 people.

Rahman Malik said that Pakistan should unmask Indian tactics and for this he is ready to provide ‘proofs’.

Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has on Thursday, January 27 been told that the Bacha Khan University (BKU) attack was actually carried out in order to divert the attention from the inner element’s involvement in Pathankot Airbase attack. PM was told that Indian PM Narendra Modi’s recent policy of friendship with Pakistan is only to fool Pakistan.

According to details, an important meeting was held today at Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) headquarters. PM and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif were briefed in detail about the internal and external threats, terrorists’ networks and contacts.

They were told in the meeting that the BKU attack was carried out in order to divert the attention from Indian government’s incompetence and cowardice displayed in the Pathankot attack. The PM was told that the students at the BKU were murdered in cold blood just for this purpose.

During the briefing, PM and army chief were told that Indian intelligence agency ‘RAW’ has completely taken over one of the major political parties in the country. They were told that RAW has opened the gates of their national exchequer for religious terrorists and Baloch separatists.

The PM was shown the proofs of RAW and Afghan intelligence agency NDS involvement in Pakistan.

The meeting also discussed the weaknesses in the National Action Plan (NAP) and the need for the operation in Punjab.

PM and COAS appreciated the role of the ISI on this occasion. PM said that the enemies of Pakistan will be defeated in order to make Pakistan prosperous and secure. He added that the nation is behind the armed forces and intelligence agencies.

According to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) department, General Raheel Sharif ordered to continue the operation throughout the country upon the intelligence provided by the ISI and other intelligence agencies.
