ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif held a meeting with outgoing British High Commission (HC) and said that Pakistan gives great importance to its terms with Britain, Dunya News reported Tuesday.

PM Nawaz held a farewell meeting with High Commissioner Philip Barton in the federal capital.

The Prime Minister acknowledged Philip Barton’s role to better Pakistan-Britain relations during his tenure. He said that Pakistan desires promotion of trade and investment cooperation between the two sides.

The outgoing British HC stated on the occasion that Britain enjoys good terms. Pakistani expatriates residing in Britain have helped build strong relations, he added.
