KARACHI (Dunya News) – Six terrorists were arrested including a commander of an outlawed organization late Thursday night as police foiled a terrorism attempt by the felons in Rizwia area of Karachi. According to the police, the suspects were trying to shift a motorcycle laden with explosives when they were intercepted. The bomb disposal squad was called in which successfully defused the bomb.

According to the details, Police officials clashed with the terrorists and arrested the commander of the banned outfit. Police say that the arrested felon is the right-hand man of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan s (TTP) commander Adnan Rasheed.

One officer also sustained injuries during the exchange of fire. 

According to Inspector Abid of bomb disposal squad, 4-5 kgs of explosives were found from the petrol tank of the motorcycle which was linked to a mobile phone. 

Station House Officer (SHO) Idrees Bangush stated that ammunition including, Kalashnikov, hand grenades and a TT pistol was also recovered from the felons. 

The arrested terrorists were also presented in front of the media.
