LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said the actual reason behind closure of schools is extreme cold weather and not the threats but threats do exist. He was addressing a meeting focusing on the security of schools, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, Rana Sanaullah said “we keep receiving threats but soon the schools will reopen.” He said that special attention is being directed towards the security of educational institutions. “The Chief Minister (CM) Punjab has himself reviewed the security plan of schools. There were intelligence reports that terrorists from across the border could strike again,” he added. The provincial law minister said that the local government departments will be given its legitimate powers.

Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq said that saving the lives of children is more important than keeping schools open. He also said that the government will not compromise on schools  security and all the schools will be forced to increase their security without increasing fees.
