LONDON: (Dunya News) - Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif has said on Monday in London that Pakistan is investigating on information provided by India on Pathankot attack and we will bring forward the facts about the attack, reported Dunya News.

The PM was talking to the media upon reaching London. He said that investigation on information provided by India on Pathankot attack is currently in progress. An investigation team will soon visit the Pathankot airbase. He added that he has asked his Indian counterpart, Narendra Modi, to provide more information on Pathankot attack. He said that the investigations are progressing in the right direction. Once the investigation is complete, Pakistan will bring forward the facts about the attack.

On his consultations with the military leadership, he responded that Pakistan is facing countless problems which cannot be solved by a single person. He said that this is why his government consults with military on every issue. National Action Plan (NAP) and Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists were also started by the government after consultations with the military, he said. The premier accepted that there is slow progress on some points of NAP. He stressed upon acting speedily on the NAP.

Speaking on cross-border terrorism cases, the PM said that there is an agreement between Pakistan and Afghanistan that they will not let their territories to be used against each other. PM said that Pakistan is strongly adhering to this agreement and will not let the terrorists use its territory against anyone. PM said that we should not interfere in each other’s territory. He said that attacks from the Afghan territory should be stopped.  He added that there are some elements in Afghanistan which are carrying out terrorist activities on their own. He pointed out that Afghanistan has its own military and police and that acting against the terrorists is their responsibility.

On being asked on Afghan reconciliation process, the premier said that he believes in peace and stability in Afghanistan. "Peace in Afghanistan can only be achieved via dialogue", said the PM. He told that a committee has been formed consisting representatives of Pakistan, Afghanistan, China and United States of America (USA) and this four-state coordination is trying to bring peace in Afghanistan. He said that one meeting of this committee was held in Kabul and went well.

Speaking on Saudi-Iran tensions, the PM said that Pakistan senses its regional duty to help solve the differences between these two countries. He said that no one asked Pakistan to mediate between Saudi Arabia and Iran, it was Pakistan s own initiative.
