KARACHI (Dunya News) – Residents of the servant quarters in Sindh Assembly were forced to spent Saturday night in open as their apartments were demolished a day before to setup a parking area.

According to details, no other accommodation or compensation has been provided to the residents by the Sindh government whereas no prior notice was also issued asking them to leave the quarters.
The residents stated that no government official approached them for help whereas the families made breakfast by lightning the wood.

They said that contrary to their promise of ‘Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan’, Sindh government snatched everything from them.
The residents threatened the government of hunger strike in case relief is not provided to them till evening.
One of the affectees Abdur Rasheed fell unconscious at the moment and was shifted to the hospital for medical assistance.

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh arranged a relief bus for the affected residents in which basic facilities including washroom and kitchen are present.

Other PTI members of Sindh Assembly Khurram Sher Zaman and Seema Zia also reached the spot and expressed their sympathies.
