Summary Whether it's Zia or Nawaz, government's accountability is focused only on PPP: Kaira

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said on Saturday that the government should take action against terrorists by going beyond political interests. He was addressing a press conference in Lahore, reported Dunya News.

According to the details, Kaira said that the government will not be able to unite the people through the help of development projects when people are losing their loved ones in terrorist attacks. He demanded the government to explain how the 72 banned organizations are still working in Pakistan under changed names.

The PPP leader said that the federal government should disclose the steps it had taken to implement the National Action Plan (NAP). He said that since the times of Zia-ul-Haq, government’s accountability operations starts from PPP and ends on PPP without touching any other political party.

He claimed that the leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) themselves accuse each other of having links to terrorist groups. He said that all those projects of gas pipelines and economic corridor were started by PPP governments and Nawaz Sharif should acknowledge it.

“We will stand ahead of the Prime Minister in the war against terrorism”, he added.
