Summary KP government can buy the land from Railway if they have to use it for Metro: Saad Rafique
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said on Saturday that Chief Minister (CM) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is demanding Pakistan Railway’s land, free of cost, for Metro. He was addressing a ceremony in Railway Headquarters Lahore, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, he said that the spokesperson of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf does not know the meaning of Railway because the property and land belonging to Railway cannot be given free of cost to even the minister of Railway. Saad said that if KP government want to run metro in Peshawar then they can buy the land from Railway.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Monday has inaugurated 2.12 Kilometre (Km) long Bab-e-Peshawar Flyover.
The PTI chairman addressed the inauguration ceremony of Bab-e-Peshawar Flyover.
He criticised the government and said that nations do not progress by construction of roads and bridges. He said that flyovers could also be built in cities other than Lahore.
Khan said that the government acquired loans amounting to at least $4,700 billion in a span of two and a half years however, none know where the funds were spent.
The opposition party leader said that the government pocketed USD 11 billion by not reducing oil prices in accordance with the international market. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police has become an ideal institution.
The government spent funds not on Metro but for the welfare of locals, he added.
