KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Chief Minister (CM) Sindh Qaim Ali Shah chaired the meeting of Sindh Apex Committee on Tuesday in Karachi to review security situation and was also attended by Corps Commander Karachi and Director General (DG) Rangers Karachi, reported Dunya News.

Karachi operation and issues related to National Action Plan (NAP) were discussed in the meeting. Briefing was also given to the committee on the ongoing targeted operation of Rangers.

After the meeting the Information Adviser to CM Sindh, Moula Baksh Chandio said during a briefing to the media that after today’s meeting the  enemies  of Sindh are disappointed and that all the institutions were present in the meeting. He said no one can stop those doing propaganda against the Sindh government.

He had earlier said that ten military courts will be operational in a few weeks but later retracted by saying that ten Anti-Terrorism Courts (ATCs) will be formed. He said that Corps Commander Karachi has asked to give space for 10 military courts.

He informed that 25 cases have been sent to the military courts out of which. proceedings on three cases have started. He also told that safe houses and a force will be made to safeguard witnesses. Chandio told that masterminds of the criminals will be chased and taken to task. He told that Apex Committee also reviewed the prosecution process. Speaking on law-making, he said that laws are made with time.

The Information Adviser said that during the meeting of the Apex Committee all the organizations looked into their performance and the agencies also have submitted their reports.
