GUJRANWALA (Dunya News) – Police on Monday have handed over the arrested three suspects including a woman to the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) for interrogation.
Three dacoits entered a house in Faisal Colony area of Gujranwala on Sunday and held the inmates hostage. The residents of the area informed police who reached the spot and surrounded the house.
The robbers opened fire at the police party, injuring three civilians including a cameraman of a private channel.
Reinforcement from ten police stations of the city reached the sight along with an armored vehicle.
The surrounding houses were evacuated and police took position on the rooftops. Police also used teargas shells after which two dacoits, including a woman, were arrested in unconscious condition.
