Road mishaps in Vehari, Faisalabad leave four dead, 18 injured

Summary Police have launched an investigation into the both cases.

VEHARI (Dunya News) – At least four people were killed while 17 others sustained severe wounds in a road accidents in Vehari and Faisalabad today (Monday).

The mishap took place when a speeding car rammed into a truck near Hasilpur, killing four people on the spot while the incident has injured one person.

On getting the information about the incident, Rescue 1122 teams arrived at the scene and shifted the corpses and the wounded one to the hospital.

The deceased were belonging to Bhawalnagar and have been identified as Mukhtar Ahmed, Jameela bibi, Aasma and their driver.

According to police personnel, truck driver and conductor fled the scene after the accident while an investigation into the matter has also been launched.

In another accident, 17 people were injured when a passenger bus turned turtle due to over-speeding at the Jhang Road near Faisalabad. Rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the injured to the Allied Hospital, Faisalabad.

On the other hand, funeral prayers of Kark accident victims would be offered today. As many as14 people died on Sunday in Karak district as a van carrying wedding guests engulfed in flames after collision with a truck coming from the opposite side.

Those killed include 6 women, 4 men and 4 children. The tragic accident has left the house of wedding in mourning.

Only one woman has reportedly survived the accident.
