Reportedly, at least 4 dacoits entered a house in Khyali Station’s Faisal Colony area to rob the house and the police was alerted of the crime minutes later.
A heavy contingent of the police has reached on the spot and surrounded the house. The dacoits held the members of the household hostage.
The family living in the house had only moved in 5 days ago. The exchange of fire continues between the police and the dacoits.
The police are also using teargas shells and have evacuated surrounding houses while taking their positions on top of buildings.
