Only one terrorist incident happened in the federal capital on February 18 in which Qasar-e-Sakina Imambargah located at expressway was targeted. The attack claimed the lives of three people and wounded three others.

On the other hand over 500 search operations were carried out against the militant elements during which 190 kg explosive material and huge cache of weapons was recovered by the security forces.
The security of Islamabad was tightened after the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP).
In the month of September, law enforcement agencies arrested over 60 people, including Afghan nationals, and recovered arms, ammunition and explosives from the Deras of the Khokhar clan.
