ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar on Wednesday said that implementation of the National Action Plan (NAP) is everyone’s mutual responsibility, adding that the government will welcome criticism, Dunya News reported.

In his policy statement on NAP in Senate, Ch Nisar said politicking should not be done on NAP. He said terrorism in Karachi has reduced by 80% because of the Rangers’ operation.

Talking about Lal Masjid cleric Abdul Aziz, he said the government did not ‘impose’ him. He said bring the evidence against the Lal Masjid cleric in order for state to charge and prosecute him.

The federal minister said the report regarding Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) reforms will be presented to the government soon. He said 10 out of 20 points in the NAP are regarding the provinces.

Chaudhry Nisar said implementation on 15 points is satisfactory and that as many as 10 crore illegal sims were blocked. He said as many as 6500 intelligence-based operations took place in a year.

As per the written report, National Counter Terrorism Agency (NACTA) was issued the funds of over 1 billion as per the NAP whereas 182 suspicious seminaries have been shut down in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said a mutually agreed upon form for registration of seminaries has also been prepared.

Chaudhry Nisar told as many as 2142 terrorists were killed while 1711 arrested over the course of past 6 months.
