PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – President Mamnoon Hussain said on Wednesday that the tribal areas of Pakistan have regained peace as a result of successful operation Zarb-e-Azb. He was addressing the concluding ceremony of the first Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) FATA Youth Festival in Peshawar, reported Dunya News.
According to the details, addressing the closing ceremony of the festival, he said that extremism and terrorism have been eliminated and a new golden era has begun in the country. The president also said that the nation will not be left at the mercy of terrorists. He said Operation Zarb-e-Azb will continue till elimination of the last terrorist and terrorists will no longer be able to use the youth for destructive activities. He said that youth of tribal areas is talented and they will be provided every opportunity to show their talent and take part in the progress of the country. Young athletes performed in front of the president on this occasion.
Mamnoon Hussain appreciated the sacrifices of the security forces, law enforcing agencies and tribal people in the war against terror. He assured that the problems of tribal people will be solved on priority basis and they will be included in the national mainstream. The President also distributed trophies and prizes among the players. Earlier, in his address Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan said back of the terrorists has been broken.

Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Perveiz Khattak on Wednesday took notice of President Mamnoon Hussain’s protocol on his arrival in Peshawar.
According to details, the president has been scheduled to attend the ending ceremony of FATA Youth Festival at Qayyum Stadium today at 2 pm due to which the roads heading towards the venue were blocked for traffic, creating difficulties for the residents.
The natives faced problems because of the barriers placed on the roads and demanded the authorities to take action.
Acting on the directives of the CM, the concerned department has opened the roads for traffic while ensuring foolproof security of the president.
Earlier, Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan vowed to put an end to VIP protocol. He said that traffic will not be stopped for anyone including Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Announcing an end to VIP protocol, Chairman PTI expressed sorrow over the death of 10-year-old Bisma. He said that the nation mourns the loss of the young child as much as the loss of life at APS Peshawar.
In an apparent jibe at the Bilawal Bhutto, he said that if someone is so afraid of death, he should sit at home. Khan said that no one even CM KP would be allowed VIP protocol from now onwards.
