TURBAT (Dunya News) – Operation against terrorists has concluded with success on the second day on Wednesday with banned outfit’s commander among nine killed and two security personnel martyred.

Frontier Corps (FC) spokesperson said that the checkposts were to be established in different areas however, the personnel were engaged by insurgents in Tehsil Dasht.

Militants opened fire at the FC personnel in Darkacha, Balangor and Zireen Dasht areas. A search operation was launched in retaliation to operatives of the banned outfit. At least nine insurgents were killed in the operation.

Lt Colonel Haroon sustained injuries during encounters while two personnel embraced martyrdom. The injured officer was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital.

FC Inspector General (IG) Major General Sher Afgan has vowed to eliminate insurgents at all cost.

Earlier on November 14, three FC personnel were injured in a remotely controlled blast in Turbat s Tump area. A convoy was heading to Mand when an IED planted along the roadside went off.
