KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leaders Moula Bakhsh Chandio and Qamar Zaman Kaira slammed Federal Interior Ministry on Tuesday for ‘targeting Sindh’, Dunya News reported.
Sindh Adviser for Information Chandio reacted to federal government’s extension of full powers to Rangers by saying PPP has always respected the courts and will continue to do so.
“We’re not the ones that will storm the courtrooms if verdict is unfavourable”, he said. Chandio said the Sindh government pays tribute to sacrifices offered by the police and Rangers but, he said, the federal government is denying Sindh government of its authorities.
The provincial adviser said that Sindh government has confidence on Rangers but only objects on federal government’s attitude. He said the atmosphere created against the provinces will have adverse effects on the federal government.

Chandio said issues must be resolved with talks, adding that there’s nothing better than institutions and provinces escaping the conflict.
The constitutional and legal matters can be solved with discussion, he said.
Meanwhile, PPP leader Kaira asked who does Chaudhry Nisar think he is while PM Nawaz is acting like a king.
He said he is fine with crackdown against corrupt people but it should not be restricted to Sindh only. Kaira said the consequence of handling everything to army is in front of everyone, adding that institutions should be allowed to continue working as per mandate.
