Summary Playing hide and seek with the workers, Imran finally left for Karachi Airport; workers infuriated
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers on Sunday threw eggs and stones at the stage as PTI Chairman Imran Khan left without addressing the party events at Dawood Chorangi. After playing ‘hide n seek’ with the workers continuously for 2 days, Imran finally left for Karachi Airport. Infuriated, the workers threw stones and eggs at the stage, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Imran Khan was scheduled to attend public meetings at Dawood Chorangi, Malir and Landhi. However, the workers kept waiting for him but Imran Khan took the U-turn and went straight to the airport.
Adding insult to the injury, all the senior PTI leaders from its Karachi chapter including Ali Zaidi and Faisal Vawda also left the stage upon learning that Imran Khan has already left. Workers were infuriated at this disrespect and started throwing eggs and stones at the stage.
Even yesterday (Saturday), when Imran Khan and Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq had arrived at Karachi Airport, they were scheduled to go to Quaid’s tomb but instead of going there, they deviated to New MA Jinnah Road and the workers were left wondering.
Surprisingly, ‘Kaptaan’ is still confident of victory and ‘change’ in Karachi after his 2-day performance.
