RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Investigation officers on Tuesday have apprehended further three criminals involved in gang rape case of a 22-year-old girl in Rawalpindi while they have failed to present the key suspect in the court despite passage of four days.
The probe into the matter is facing delay as the suspect Umair is still in hospital under medical treatment who also sustained wounds while throwing the girl off the building after molestation.
The officers have also claimed to have launched interrogation from the owner of the flat.
Earlier, law enforcers on Monday obtained fingerprints from crime site in 22-year-old girl’s rape and killing case. The agencies have sent towels, perfumes and medicines seized from plaza number 58’s apartment to laboratory for forensic tests.
Investigation team is also deliberating over whether the ill-fated girl was pushed off the roof or apartment’s window.
Earlier, a 22-year-old girl, belonging to Chakwal was thrown off a three-storey building after gang-rape on November 21. The body of the victim was recovered outside a house in Rawalpindi’s Bahria Town Phase VIII.

The victim was missing from past three days whereas the boy and girl became friends on social networking website Facebook. The suspect and girl were preparing for CSS examinations.
Police have revealed that the victim was imprisoned for three days before she was killed. Additional Station House Officer (SHO) Rawat Israr Hussain further informed that the killed girl had notified her family of the imprisonment saying that her life was in danger a day before her murder. Hussain stated that Umair had pushed the girl off the building after raping her and had acted as if he himself had been injured.
