LAHORE (Dunya News) – At least three alleged terrorists have been arrested in two separate joint operation of intelligence agencies’ personnel and policemen in Lahore and Peshawar today (Tuesday).

The operation against the criminal elements has been intensified as the law enforcement agencies have directed the cops to speed up the raids.

Security officers have nabbed as many as two suspects of banned outfit from Lahore’s Bedian Road area. The detainees have been identified as Anzar Gull and Yousaf.

Weapons including explosives, detonators and prima cards have also been confiscated from the possession of the militants.

Moreover, suspects Anzar Gull and Yousaf have been shifted to some undisclosed place for interrogation.

Separately in Peshawar, an Anti-Terrorism Department took a wanted terrorist into custody during operation. The arrested terrorist has been identified as Naseem Shah who was accused of bombarding various schools in Matini and attacks on security personnel.

The government had also announced Rs 5 lac head money of the criminal.

Earlier, Rangers have also detained more than 44 suspects in different operations.

The paramilitary force carried out operations in Natha Khan and Pirabad areas. The personnel raided Natha Khan’s Hazara Goth on a tipoff regarding insurgents presence.

The Rangers sealed entry and exit points of the locality and searched at least 100 houses in the residential area. More than 20 suspects were detained during the search operation. The detainees were shifted to undisclosed location for interrogation.
