WASHINGTON (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Shareef on Friday stated that the war against terrorism will be fought to its conclusion. General Shareef stated that Pak army was determined to see peace and stability in the country.
The Army Chief expressed these thoughts while addressing a Pakistani community in Washington. The Army Chief is on a five day visit to the US.
General Shareef stated that Pakistan was desirous of friendly relations with it neighboring countries.
The Army Chief further added that the Pak-China Economic Corridor will be a source of prosperity and financial stability for the region.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif had earlier spent a day in Pentagon and held meetings with Deputy Secretary Defence, Chief of Joint Committee Staff General Dunford, Chief of Army Staff General Milley and Commander CentCom General Austin, the ISPR reported.

The Army Chief discussed defence cooperation, strengthening military to military relations, regional security, need for enhanced coordination and increased training exchanges during meeting with top US military officials.
General Shareef also met with John Kerry during his visit. He discussed matters of mutual interest and regional security with Kerry.
