At least ten people were injured as Shaheen Air International’s flight crash landed at Lahore airport. The plane’s faulty landing gear was initially blamed but reports soon started coming in, suggesting that the pilot of the plane was under the influence of alcohol and had failed to make a proper landing, which caused the plane to skid off the runway.

Initial investigation also showed that the pilot ignored his co-pilot’s advice and despite high speed he landed the aircraft instead of slowing it down before the landing.
