VEHARI: (Dunya News) – Nothing is working for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) these days. After the vote-count in Ward No. 6 of UC-62 tied between the PTI and independent candidates on General Councillor seat, the fate of the two candidates was left to the toss to decide. However, even the toss decided against PTI, reported Dunya News.

According to details, the independent candidate Abdul Rasheed and PTI candidate Ahmad Yar had a tie between them with both bagging 385 votes each in the local body election in Vehari. Abdul Rasheed wanted a recount and opposed the toss but the Returning Officer (RO) Chaudhry Mushtaq Ali went ahead with the toss upon the directions issued by Election Commission. As a result of the toss, the independent candidate was declared the winner.

Although Abdul Rahseed wasn’t present when the toss was held but he won the toss and PTI candidate, who was present there and had agreed to the toss, lost it. Presiding Officer of the relevant polling station was also present on the occasion.
