MASTUNG (Dunya News) - At least four people were killed while at least 12 others sustained injuries as an Improvised Explosives Device (IED) blasted near a railway track in Dasht, area of Balochistan s Mastung today (Sunday).

According to initial details, the explosion took place when Quetta-Rawalpindi Jaffar Express was passing, claiming lives of four passengers and injuring 12 people.

The injured were at once shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta and Bolan Medical Complex Hospital for medical assistance whereas the hospital staff has also declared emergency in the hospitals.



Police personnel said the blast has damaged a small portion of the railway track along with a bogey of the train. They stated that the Jaffar Express was stopped after the attack.

Launching investigation into the matter, a heavy contingent of Frontier Corps (FC) and Levies officers arrived at the scene and besieged the entire area.
