Summary President of PALPA, Amir Hashmi, has confirmed the withdrawal of protest
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) -- Pakistan Airline Pilots Association (PALPA) have announced on Wednesday to end its 7-day strike. President of PALPA, Amir Hashmi said that the strike has been ended on assurance of Senate Standing Committee, reported Dunya News.
PALPA withdrew its protest after stories of rounds of unsuccessful meetings with Pakistan International Airlines reached Senate Standing Committee for Interior. Chairman Committee Talha Mehmood said that PALPA accepted to end its protest after assurance from Senate Standing Committee.
Senator Talha Mehmood gave the ruling that masses are not responsible for the tussle between PIA and PAPLA and should not be punished as such. He said that Secretary Aviation should solve the conflict between the two parties and should submit a report as well. President of PALPA, Amir Hashmi, has confirmed the withdrawal of protest and said that committee has accepted recommendations and is mulling over the reservations expressed.
