Summary Plea states that non-implementation on the rules is the reason behind unaffordable fees
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned record of funds dedicated for education of children of 16 years or less age on October 2.
Judicial Activism Panel Chairman Azhar Siddique filed a plea in Justice Sajid Mehmood Sethi’s court. The plea states that the provincial government is bound to provide free-of-cost education to children until they are 16 years of age under Article 25-A.
The plea criticizes the Punjab government stating that non-implementation on the rules is the reason behind unaffordable fees of private schools.
The LHC has ordered secretary schools to present record of the funds on October 2 while directing authorities to provide details of private schools’ dues and audited accounts.
