MAKKAH (Dunya News) – Adorning the same clothes on their bodies with a uniform prayer on each lips, free from the worldly differences of colour, caste, language and region, millions of pilgrims from all around the world are expected to perform the sacred act of Hajj on Wednesday.

Pilgrims residing in thousands of tents in Mina will move towards ‘Maidan-e-Arafat’ on Wednesday.

Saudi Arabia’s Grand Mufti will deliver the Hajj sermon in ‘Masjid-e-Nimra’. The ‘Zuhr’ and ‘Asr’ prayers will be performed in Arafat.

Upon sunset, the pilgrims will move towards Muzdalifah, where they will spend the night under open skies.

After dawn prayers on the 10th Zil Hajj, the pilgrims will walk towards Mina for the stoning of the devil.

After the first stoning, pilgrims will slaughter their sheep and the meat distributed to needy Muslims.

Men will then shave their heads or trim their hair while women will cut a fingertip-length of their hair. After that the pilgrims will end their ‘Ihram’ and change back to normal clothing.

Pilgrims will then return to Masjid-al-Haram, circumambulating around the Kaaba and will offer prayers of thankfulness.
