Summary Shahbaz Sharif received complaint on his Facbook page, student was paid his scholarship at earliest
LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday convened an interactive session on his Facebook page in which he listened to the complaints of the followers and assured them of resolving them as soon as possible. However, these promises were not mere promises as one of the students confirmed shortly afterwards in the comments section of the page that his issue had been resolved.

One of the fans on the page, Umair Aslam Shah, commented on the page saying that his father is an employee in Social Security department and he is unable to get his scholarship. Consequently, the student said, he was unable to carry on his studies. Shahbaz Sharif said that he had got the issue inquired and the complaint was completely genuine. He said that the cheque has now been handed to Umair Aslam now.
Confirming CM’s words almost immediately, Umair Aslam Shah commented in the comments section of the video that he has received his scholarship worth Rs. 180,930. “Sir, you gave me my Eidi”, said Umair in his comment. He thanked the CM ‘from the core of my heart’.
Another follower from Bhakkar named Ikram Sadiq Sial complained about a ghost school in his area. CM told that he had taken a strong action against the ghost schools during his government back in 1998. He said that he got the complaint inquired and it proved to be right. “I was shocked to know that despite all the efforts that we have made and the education department has made, such schools still exist. It is a warning for all of us”, said the CM. He added that students have started receiving education here now and it is no more a ghost school. He thanked the fan Ikram Sadiq, who was quick to thank him back as the ghost school that he had mentioned had been made functional owing to his complaint.
CM also highlighted other comments and messages that he received on his page and not only resoplved the issues of the people but also answered the questions asked by the fans. He said that he has always tried to listen to the people and is now using the social media for getting feedback from the public. He said that this session will be a regular feature from now on.
