KARACHI (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan’s Karachi Registry on Friday has ordered the Sindh government to issue tenders for issuance of new number plates for vehicles in the province.

Officials of Excise and Taxation Department and Sindh Public Procurement Regulatory Authority’s (SPPRA) Managing Director (MD) Abdul Raheem appeared before the court for hearing of the case.

The MD said that the tenders were halted due to alleged embezzlement.

However, the court ordered Excise Department and SUPRA to collaborate and issue tenders without delay.
