COAS, PAF chief leave for Peshawar

Summary COAS and PAF chief are visiting Peshawar where they will be briefed about anti-terrorism operation.

RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) – After receiving the news of terrorist attack on Badaber airbase camp in Peshawar, Army Chief General Sharif has left for the city to monitor the situation.

He will visit the Corps headquarters where he will be briefed about the operation against the terrorists. The Army Chief will also visit the injured personnel of the Armed forces who took part in the operation.

On the other hand, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) chief Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has also left for Peshawar.

Reportedly, the security forces repulsed terror attack on a residential camp of Pakistan Air Force in Badaber area of Peshawar this morning, killing eight attackers. 

More than 20 people including ten soldiers were also wounded in exchange of fire. The injured have been shifted to CMH.
