Summary 11 owners of MCB have been issued notices as per sources
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has given approval for investigations against important personalities including lawmaker Syed Ifikhar Hasan among others as notices have been sent to 11 former owners of Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) in privatization corruption case on Thursday, reported Dunya News.
NAB has approved inquiry against lawmakers Syed Iftikhar Hassan, Sarfraz Shah and others. Investigations have begun against former minister Zaheeruddin, former Nazim of Faisalabad Akhtar Ali, former Minister of Agriculture Ali Nawaz Shah and DGA Sindh Agha Zafar Durrani is also under investigation. Lahore High Court has been approached for the physical remand of Pakistan People’s Party leader Qasim Zia.
Meanwhile NAB officials have submitted details of alleged corruption in the privatization of MCB to the Senate Standing Committee on Finance. 11 owners of MCB have been issued notices as per sources. Supreme Court has linked the irregularities in appointments of 12 Director Generals to NAB performance case.
It is pertinent to mention here action has been taken against Education Minister Punjab Rana Mashood as well as Youth Festival came under scrutiny by NAB.
